*This answer is related to the new TDS Email system, which all customers
will be moved to before the end of 2014.
Once you’ve been moved to the new TDS Email system, follow these instructions to configure your mobile device(s) and/or email clients (like Outlook or Outlook
Express) to receive TDS Email:
For Mobile Devices
- Access the email app provided with your device’s operating system.
-The Gmail app will no longer work- - Add your TDS Email address and password as a new account in the app.
Your new email settings will be automatically detected.
For Desktop Clients
Here are the settings to reconfigure your desktop client so it receives TDS
email from the new system:
- Incoming Mail (POP3) Server:
- DNS: mail.tds.net
- Authentication Used: SSL
- Port: 995
- Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server:
- DNS: mail.tds.net
- Authentication Used: SSL
- Port: 993
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server:
- DNS: mail.tds.net
- Authentication Used: TLS
- Port: 587
