Your modem is using an older method to connect to TDS internet. TDS is making a change that will no longer allow this type of connection. You will need to change your modem settings to stay connected. Please take the following steps to avoid a service interruption.
If you are using an Actiontec modem supplied by TDS, locate the "reset" button on the back. You will need to use either a toothpick or a paperclip to press it. Leave the modem turned on, press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds. This will reset your wireless network settings.
If you are using a 3rd-party modem: Contact the manufacturer. You will need to change the "internet" or "WAN" connection type to DHCP.
If you are using a non-Actiontec modem supplied by TDS, or are unsure of the modem type, please call TDS Repair at 1-888-225-5837.
If you have an Actiontec 700 Series, 1500 Series, V1000H, T2200 or T3200, below are the steps for performing a hard reset.
