To setup Mac Mail 2 for OS 10.4 follow the instructions below.  For instructions on how to configure Mac Mail for OS 10.3.

  1. Open Mac Mail.
  2. Select File and Add Account.
  3. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:
    -Account Type: POP
    -Account Description: (Type a description for the TDS email account - such as TDS.net)
    -Full Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the "From:" field of outgoing messages
    -Email Address: Your TDS email password
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:
    -Incoming Mail Server: mail.tds.net
    -User Name: Your full TDS email address
    -Password: Your TDS email password
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Select Password in the Authentication field
  8. Do not check "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)"
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Outgoing Mail Server: mail.tds.net
  11. Do not check "Use Authentication"
  12. Click Continue and then click Continue again without checking "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)".
  13. Click Continue on the "Account Summary" screen
    You should now be able to use Mac Mail to access your TDS Email account!
