The Future of Rural High-Speed Connectivity
TDS is expanding high-speed internet access across the country, ensuring rural communities in our service footprint receive fast, reliable connections.
Building Better Internet with You in Mind
We’re upgrading our networks, in part, by leveraging the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) multi-year Enhanced Alternative Connect America Cost Model (E-ACAM) program. This funding supports the deployment of 100/20 Mbps or faster broadband service to eligible locations in our most rural geographies. Construction on these projects and availability of new speeds are happening in phases through the end of 2028. For more details about this program, visit the FCC website.
Beyond E-ACAM, we’re doubling down on our commitment to improve rural broadband by investing millions of dollars in additional network upgrades. TDS’ long-term goal is to bring faster speeds across our entire service territory and we’re on track to deliver 1 Gig or higher fiber connections to more than 1.8 million homes and businesses in the coming years.
Our investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure is providing a strong foundation so communities can thrive in the digital world today and into the future.
Check If Your Address Is Included
Enter your address below. If your location is included as part of an active or planned upgrade project, you'll be directed to a landing page for more information. We're frequently adding new network upgrade areas, so if you don't see fiber plans for your address today, be sure to check back later!
- Locations shaded in purple indicate network upgrade designs are ready and construction has either started or is expected to begin in the coming months. Watch your mailbox and/or inbox for more information on the faster speeds coming soon.
- Locations shaded in green indicate network upgrades are complete and faster speeds are now available to order. The new products and services will be reflected in your online shopping experience, or give us a call (1-888-225-5837) to upgrade.
- If your address isn’t shaded but you will be included in a future E-ACAM build, you’ll see a message saying we’re planning to upgrade TDS service in your area. Although construction isn’t imminent, our teams are busy engineering and planning. When construction has started or will be starting in the coming months, the map will be updated and show your location shaded in purple.
- If you are in our service territory, but do not see a message about E-ACAM upgrades, click here to learn more about the available products and services in your area.
This map will be updated quarterly, so please check back to see the latest information.
We will be mailing impacted customers information about our project work as we get closer to construction and after faster speeds are available.
The Construction Process
You may see activity in your area or in the public utility easements on your property. Like other utility companies, TDS has the right to work on utility easements, including those that may be in your back, front, or side yard. Easement rules are set by state law and are not under the city’s jurisdiction. TDS respects your property and will exercise caution in all areas of your yard. Crews will attempt to notify you by knocking on your door or leaving a note to let you know they will be entering your yard. Following the completion of construction, a separate cleanup and restoration crew will come to the site to repair any disrupted areas.
If you have any questions or concerns about construction activity in your area, please call TDS’ construction hotline at: 855-259-8576. Note: This line cannot provide build-timeline estimates.
