TDS® is proud to participate in the Federal Communications Commission's Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which helps low-income households afford high-speed Internet service. It replaces the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program.
The ACP participants who choose TDS as their Internet provider may receive up to a $30/mo. discount for TDS Internet service. (Qualifying households on Tribal lands may be eligible for a discount up to $75/mo.)
For more information about ACP, visit affordableconnectivity.gov or call TDS at 1-888-225-5837.
What is the Affordable Connectivity Program?
The ACP provides qualifying customers with funding to offset the cost of high-speed Internet. The government allocated $14 billion for the program, which is available to qualifying customers and providers nationwide. When the funding runs out, the program will end.
TDS is participating in the ACP in locations where it currently participates in the federal Lifeline program. Check to see if TDS is participating where you live.
Who Qualifies for the ACP?
There are a number of ways your household can qualify for the ACP—such as your income level, if you or your child/dependent participate in government assistance programs (such as SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, or other programs), or if you receive a Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit. In addition, households that participate in the federal Free or Reduced Lunch program or have a Pell grant will typically qualify.
There are many more ways you could qualify. Check the official ACP website for qualifications and to apply for benefits.
Current Lifeline program participants automatically qualify for the ACP. No further application is necessary. To add the ACP discount to your current program, call TDS at 1-888-225-5837.
Why Choose TDS as Your Provider?
TDS Internet service delivers households the speed needed for online schooling or working from home.
The credit of up to $30/month (up to $75/month for households on qualifying Tribal lands) is a discount off the monthly cost of Internet service and a modem. The credit will be applied until the program ends or you no longer qualify. State taxes and fees may apply.
Affordable Connectivity Program – The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provides qualifying customers a monthly discount up to $30 ($75 in tribal areas) towards broadband internet service. Visit https://affordableconnectivity.gov for qualifications details and to apply. Approval and eligibility decided by the FCC/USAC. Discount applied within 1-2 bill cycles after signup and ACP enrollment. The ACP discount is non-transferable and limited to one monthly internet discount per household. Customers may cancel at any time without a termination fee. The ACP is a federal government benefit program operated by the FCC and, if the Program ends, or when a household is no longer eligible, you will be subject to TDS’s regular rates, terms, and conditions.
