TDS named fastest ISP in Wisconsin

For the second year in a row, TDS Telecom (TDS®) has been named fastest ISP in Wisconsin and the Madison area. According to the 2018 Fixed Broadband Performance Report by Ookla®, TDS holds top place for offering the fastest upload and download speeds.

The data indicate the average download speed in Wisconsin is 80.09 Mbps with an upload speed of 16.96 Mbps. Madison’s average download speed is above that average at 96.16 Mbps with an upload speed of 20.87 Mbps.

“This report is a clear reflection of our investment in fiber-optic network builds,” says Shane West, senior vice president of Marketing, Sales and Customer Operations. “The technology is the gold standard for delivering world-class internet speeds and we’re actively expanding our fiber footprint to bring 1Gig speeds to new customers in Wisconsin and other states.”

TDS recently expanded their fiber network into Sun Prairie, Wis. and has also announced plans to offer TDS Fiber services in the Wisconsin communities of McFarland, Oregon, Windsor, DeForest, and Cottage Grove in the coming year.
