TDS named to Military Times Best for Vets: Employers list

MADISON, Wisconsin – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is proud to be named to the Military Times annual Best for Vets: Employers rankings as one of the top companies for Veterans to work.

In its 14th year, the Military Times Best for Vets: Employers rankings are based on the results of a survey that asks companies about their policies, practices, and benefits for Veterans and their families. TDS, which employs more than 400 Veterans, works diligently to make Veterans aware of employment opportunities and, once they are employed, ensure they are supported.

The Military Times survey captures areas of greatest importance to transitioning service members, Veterans, and their families when looking for an employer. Recruitment and employment practices, as well as retention and support programs, were given the most weight and importance in scoring and final rankings.

TDS offers benefits including differential compensation and continuation of health care coverage and the company share of insurance premiums for associates on military leave. The company also provides Veterans an extra day off every year to show its appreciation for their service.

TDS’ Patriot Associate Resource Group provides a sub-community within the larger TDS workforce for Veterans, current military service members, first responders, and non-military supporters.
