TDS connects first Great Falls home to fiber service
GREAT FALLS, Montana – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has connected the first Great Falls home to its all-fiber, high-speed internet, marking another milestone in the company’s local network construction project.
Ervin “Mitch” Martin, who resides on the northeast end of Great Falls near Bootlegger Trail, is in one of TDS’ initial build areas that has launched service and received a gift basket as part of the milestone. Built in phases, residents can connect to the new network once work is completed in their neighborhood.
“We’re excited that our team completed our first home today. As crews progress in connecting more addresses to world-class communication services, we thank all our customers who pre-registered,” said Raymond Porter, TDS associate manager of Field Marketing in Great Falls. “Construction and installation crews continue expanding our network – fiber is on the way.”
TDS’ service includes lightning-fast speeds up to 8 Gig, dedicated connections for businesses up to 10 Gig, a sophisticated TV product, and a variety of phone options.
TDS previously celebrated the launch of service in Great Falls with an event at first official customer Falls Family Fun. The company has also been active in the community, sponsoring recent events including the Read2Me literacy initiative.
TDS, operating as TDS Metrocom LLC, is a family-owned company founded in 1969. Residents can visit TDSFiber.com to register for service, monitor the progress of the build, and sign up for notifications about the new service.
