TDS sponsors pet adoption day at Lake Norman Humane, donates $3,000

Mooresville, N.C. — TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) helped animals from Lake Norman Humane get adopted into loving families Saturday as part of a $3,000 donation toward the organization’s Dog and Cat Days of Summer.

The Dog and Cat Days of Summer was a pet adoption day sponsored by TDS, held at Lake Norman Humane on Saturday, Aug. 10. With a $3,000 donation to the nonprofit animal welfare organization, TDS assisted families interested in adopting animals with their adoption fees.

“At TDS, we believe in supporting our communities, including local organizations that make a difference each and every day,” said TDS Associate Manager of Field Marketing Jill Kerswell. “We’re proud this donation will help more pets in need find loving families and homes.”

According to Dana Kelley, Director of Operations at Lake Norman Humane, TDS’ donation also helps the organization continue to maximize its facilities.

"Lake Norman Humane welcomes many animals from local shelters who are at risk for euthanasia and from families who can no longer care for their pets," said Kelley. "Thanks to this generous donation from TDS, we are excited to find permanent homes for our long-term animals. This will free up space and allow us to continue providing a safe haven for other animals in need of adoption."
