TDS® introduces 25Mbps X 5Mbps Internet service

Faster download and upload speed can be a real time-saver.

TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS®) is rolling out faster Internet service — 25Mbps download by 5Mbps upload speed — to customers in seven states, including Ga., Ind., Mich., N.H., Tenn., Vt., and Wis. The faster speeds will be offered to TDS customers in 13 more states in the first quarter of 2011.

TDS is leveraging new technology (VDSL2 over copper) to offer the faster download/upload speed combination. The faster speeds will allow customers to zip along on the Internet, downloading and uploading games, music files, movies, and pictures — faster than ever before.

TDS sees its investment as a way to help advance economic development. Faster speeds and reliable Internet services are attractive to new businesses and entrepreneurs looking to relocate. The faster speed also allows individuals the ability to work from home more efficiently. Both can help drive the local economy.

Recognizing that people are interested in bundle packages (phone, Internet, TV), various calling features, and standalone broadband service, TDS offers a menu of packages and pricing. The technology is distance-sensitive, therefore, speeds may vary. This service is not available everywhere. Call 1-888-CALL-TDS or visit http://www.tdstelecom.com/broadband for details.
