Sen. Baldwin (D-WI) is appointed to U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

Today, United States Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) announced her appointment to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

The following statement can be attributed to Drew Petersen, vice president of External Affairs and Communications for TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS®):

“TDS is excited to have U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) join the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

“U.S. Senator Baldwin has been a tireless bi-partisan advocate for investment and expansion of rural broadband services across our country. The Senator and her Congressional staff are well-versed on both the challenges and the opportunities that come with expanding broadband services to rural America. Whether it is improved local economic development, combating the ‘homework gap,’ or stimulating private sector network investment, Senator Baldwin is a true public policy partner. She will be a strong addition to this critically important committee in Congress.”
