TDS® adds SEC Network to the TDS TV® channel lineup

For no additional fee, college football fans with Expanded programming can catch Southeastern Conference games on channel 632

TDS Telecom (TDS®) is adding the SEC Network to TDS TV’s growing sports lineup. The channel is available immediately, and at no additional cost, to all TDS TV subscribers in Georgia and Tennessee who have the Expanded programming package.

“With the SEC Network, TDS TV is offering customers the college sports they want to see most,” said Shane West, vice president of Consumer Marketing and Product Development. “We’ve been working for months to make sure our customers could catch the first kickoff in the SEC conference.”

The SEC Network, appearing in standard definition on channel 632 and 1632 in HD, delivers exclusive coverage of 45 Southeastern Conference football games plus hundreds of other SEC sporting events. In addition, live broadcast coverage includes basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and volleyball. Customers will also have access to the SEC Network’s original programming, such as SEC Storied and SEC Rewind.

“We’ve had a lot of interest in the SEC Network from our customers,” said West. “Adding it to our Expanded channel lineup at no extra cost delivers not only great Saturday games, but games our customers want to see throughout the year showcasing their favorite SEC sport.”

Powered by Mediaroom®, TDS TV features more than 260 all-digital channels (including 100+ in HD), video-on-demand, pay-per-view, and TDS TV Everywhere. TDS TV also includes a Connected-Home DVR which links all TVs together in a home allowing customers to:
Record up to four shows at once, two of which can be HD;
Connect up to 10 TVs to enable DVR functionality on all;
Schedule and playback recordings on any connected TV; and
Store up to 400 hours of programming (standard-definition).

Wireless set-top boxes are also available with TDS TV. Without being tethered to a cable jack of any kind, wireless set-top boxes allow customers the flexibility to move their TVs anywhere in a room—all that’s needed is a power outlet.
