TDS® closing office in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; relocating employees
No job loss anticipated; employees relocating to TDS office in La Vergne.
Effective mid-October, TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS®) will be closing its business office in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. TDS is relocating employees to its nearby office in La Vergne.
TDS has been analyzing customer visits to the office, 4112 N Mount Juliet Road, for an extended period of time to understand:
1.Customer service needs and
2.Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
“What we discovered is that few customers visit the local office,” says John Sango, vice president of Customer Contact Operations for TDS. “They tend to call us when it’s most convenient for them, or use the Internet to access information and pay their bills.”
Any customers who visit the local office to make payments will need to make new arrangements. According to TDS, customers will be receiving more details with their monthly statement. TDS advises customers to watch for their billing statement, look for the notice, and then to read it carefully. For assistance, residential customers can call 888-CALL-TDS (888-225-5837); business customers can contact a TDS business advisor at 888-837-3050.
“TDS is committed to growing with the community and meeting the needs of our customers by providing exceptional products and services,” adds Sango. “We understand the sensitivity to change and appreciate our customer’s flexibility as we make this necessary adjustment to our operations.”
TDS offers a self service feature, which allows customers to get detailed account information and make payments over the phone (at no charge) with a debit card, credit card, or checking account by calling 1-888-CALL-TDS. Customers can also make payments online at www.TDS-ePay.com or by mailing their payment via the U.S. Postal Service.
Customers are encouraged to use these payment options; however, for anyone wishing to make cash payments, TDS has made arrangements with Western Union Agency and Wal-Mart. Customers choosing the Western Union or Wal-Mart option should allow plenty of time for the payment to be processed. It’s important to note that these payment locations do not have access to TDS customer account information, so customers must have their account information. Participating Western Union Agencies include:
Mary Wireless, 841 Briley Parkway, Nashville
Buy the Way, 220 Crossings Place, Antioch
Buy N Save Market, 201 Glenrose Avenue, Nashville
