Alamogordo, NM converted to digital TV

Customers will receive two free digital set-top boxes

ALAMOGORDO, New Mexico (April 6, 2016) – TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS®) announced a game-changer for its customers in Alamogordo, N.M.

TDS will complete the digital conversion of its remaining analog cable channels in June. The conversion of analog video signals to more efficient digital signals will free up bandwidth to increase high-definition (HD) video services and improve digital voice and data services in the future.

It is important for customers to order a new digital set-top box for each TV before May to allow adequate time for activation and avoid service disruption. Customers will get two boxes free for six months.

TDS has been making improvements in the Alamogordo market since last year, launching fast Internet with speeds up to 100Mbps, digital cable with high-definition and DVR options, and digital phone with unlimited nationwide calling. CatchTV™, the company’s whole-home entertainment product, was launched in August.
