TDS names Kit Beyer Director-External Affairs and Communications

Veteran communications professional will serve as chief corporate spokesperson and lead state government affairs team

TDS Telecom (TDS®) today announced the appointment of Kit Beyer to serve as Director of External Affairs and Communications for the growing communications company headquartered in Madison, Wis. Beyer joins TDS after having served as Communications Director for the Wisconsin State Assembly, Office of the Speaker for the last eight years.

With experience in all levels of government service, as well as her previous tenure serving as a broadcast news anchor, journalist and state capitol bureau chief, Kit has impeccable public policy credentials that will serve TDS well. Kit is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and earned a Master of Arts in Public Affairs Reporting at the University of Illinois Springfield.

TDS’ Corporate Affairs department is the company’s liaison to the news media, as well as federal and state elected officials. The team provides corporate information about the work of TDS, handles internal and external public relations, oversees the distribution of news releases, new market expansion activities and leads the social media content generation across TDS’ service footprint.
