TDS named Large Business of the Year by Camden County, Georgia chamber
TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) was named Camden County Chamber’s Large Business of the Year at its annual award ceremony on June 23, 2022.
“In our chamber world, where we are solely dependent on your member dues, donations and sponsors—we receive no city or county allocations—TDS prioritizes sponsoring and attending every event and fundraiser,” said Johnathan Blount, Immediate Past Chairman Camden County Chamber who presented the award. “A long-time member of the Chairman’s Circle, TDS literally kept the chamber doors open during the last recession and continues to see the importance of networking our small businesses.”
Taylor Carrico, TDS’ field marketing representative, was on hand to accept the award.
“On behalf of TDS and the local team here in Camden County, we couldn’t be more pleased to receive this recognition. We truly do our best to deliver great products while also supporting the community,” said Carrico.
TDS’ most-recent giving effort was to sponsor a new chamber award—Volunteer of the Year. The first award was announced at the ceremony and was awarded to Camden County native, Shanda Feltman, for her work with seniors. The winner also receives a $500 donation to the winner’s charity of choice, courtesy of TDS.
TDS has served residents and businesses in Camden County for almost a hundred years, starting as Camden Telephone and Telegraph Company.
“From a tiny switch board office to fiber, TDS has seen and provided most of the communication technology that Camden County has and now has in new systems today,” said Blount.
