TDS Telecom announces new Vice President of Data Management and Chief Information Security Officer
TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is pleased to announce the appointment of Milton, Wis. resident Steve Mathesius as Vice President of Data Management and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Mathesius now oversees TDS Telecom’s data management teams, helping drive positive customer experiences. He also leads cybersecurity and risk management functions at TDS Telecom and its parent company, Telephone and Data Systems, Inc.
Mathesius has nearly 25 years of network and IT experience. Since 2018, he has held three director-level roles within the organization. In his most recent role as director of the Security and Technology Center of Excellence, Mathesius oversaw cyber security, IT infrastructure, technology integration, and network orchestration.
“Cybersecurity and data management are at the forefront of all businesses, and I’m confident Steve will continue to do a fantastic job in his expanded role,” said Ken Paker, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Information & Network Technologies.

Mathesius earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems from Wartburg College (Iowa). Mathesius serves on the governing board of Rock University High School, an innovative charter school that provides students with a college preparatory experience.
