TDS serving up new Honor a Veteran program at UW Women’s volleyball matches

TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is sponsoring a new effort to celebrate local veterans at five Badger Women’s volleyball games. The Honor a Veteran program—a first of its kind for UW volleyball—will highlight a local veteran during the game who will receive two tickets to a game as well as a co-branded soft cooler with TDS swag.

“We have more than 150 veterans and active service members on staff at TDS and we pride ourselves on being a veteran-friendly employer,” said TDS Associate Manager of Field Marketing Liz Menz. “We’re excited to highlight area veterans and celebrate their service to the nation.”

The Honor a Veteran program began at the September 17 game against Marquette at the Kohl Center. Future presentations will happen on October 11, and the matches on November 1, 8, and 30.

“Wisconsin Volleyball would like to extend tremendous gratitude to TDS for its partnership in honoring local veterans in our community,” said Wisconsin Athletics Assistant Director of Events and Promotional Marketing Evan Warwick. “We thank them for their service and incredible sacrifice to our nation.”

TDS was named a 3-Star Employer by the VETS Indexes in 2024 and has been named a Gold Level Vets Ready employer by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development multiple times. The company also has a robust Patriot Associate Group made up of current and prior military service members, first responders, and supporters.

Headquartered in Madison, TDS has become a national leader in fiber-optic communications solutions.
