TDS presents Great Falls Area Community Foundation with $10,000 donation
Donation will support local philanthropic efforts.
GREAT FALLS, Montana – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is pleased to make a $10,000 donation to the Great Falls Area Community Foundation. This contribution will support the foundation’s mission to provide opportunities for visionary philanthropy to the Great Falls area by connecting people who care with causes that matter now and far into the future. TDS associates recently visited foundation board members to present the donation.
“As TDS continues to invest in Montana, we’re equally committed to supporting the organizations that help communities grow and prosper,” said Drew Petersen, TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. “The Great Falls Area Community Foundation has a meaningful impact on the lives of residents throughout the region, and we’re pleased to contribute to that important work.”
TDS provides high-speed internet, phone, mobile and TV services to Great Falls, Helena, Butte, Missoula and Billings, with construction beginning soon in Laurel and Lockwood. The company’s all-fiber network offers homes and businesses a faster, more reliable internet connection. To date, TDS has invested more than $160 million into building out its network in Montana.
In addition, volunteerism and giving back are key to TDS’ mission. In May, the company dedicated three $1,000 scholarships to incoming students in the broadband program at Highlands College in Butte. TDS also donated $50,000 toward the Signal Peak Energy Arena in Billings.
“The Great Falls Area Community Foundation has been so thrilled to constantly have support from TDS over the years,” said foundation chair Sarah Cawley. “As a result, we’ve been able to host critical training sessions for local nonprofit leaders, board members, and volunteers at a low cost to them, as well as host our annual Give Great Falls giving week in the spring.”
