TDS powers up service to first customers in Manitowoc, West Bend

TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) continues its push to connect more customers to lightning-fast internet in eastern Wisconsin with the launch of service in Manitowoc and West Bend.

TDS, operating as its subsidiary TDS Metrocom LLC, is building a network featuring speeds up to 8Gig – fast enough to download and upload a file of any size nearly instantly – along with TV and phone service.

While the initial neighborhoods have been launched, the network will eventually reach about 15,000 homes and businesses in Manitowoc and approximately 14,000 addresses in West Bend.

“As a longtime Wisconsin company, we’re proud to reach more areas in our home state. Fast, reliable internet connections are crucial to infrastructure, business growth, and quality of life. More work remains, but we’re excited about our progress and look forward to connecting more customers in the weeks and months ahead,” TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Drew Petersen said.

TDS has recently turned on its first customers in Sheboygan County, Fond du Lac, Watertown, and Whitewater. Construction continues in the Fox Cities, Green Bay, and other communities across the state.

Connections are made neighborhood by neighborhood as work is completed. Residents can visit TDSFiber.com to register, check launch status, and sign up for updates.

TDS is a participant in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). Qualified ACP customers can receive symmetrical speeds up to 200Mbps at no cost with the company’s TDS Connect product.
