TDS partners with local YMCAs to support Festival Foods Turkey Trot

Series of special events planned at YMCAs across Wisconsin to encourage registration

TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is proud to support the Festival Foods Turkey Trot, with a series of special events planned at YMCAs across Wisconsin to encourage registration.

Leading up to the Festival Foods Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, TDS is sponsoring “registration celebrations” to give participants the opportunity to register for the run and enter to win additional prizes. Among the giveaways are free registration to the Festival Foods Turkey Trot and three-month family memberships to the Y.

The Festival Foods Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day in about a dozen locations across the state. It includes a 2-mile walk, 2-mile fun run, a 5-mile run, and a 2-mile Dog Jog.

Participants are invited to sign up at the following local registration celebration events sponsored by TDS:

·       Appleton: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Appleton YMCA, 218 E. Lawrence St.

·       Fond du Lac: 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Fond du Lac YMCA, 90 W. 2nd St.

·       Green Bay: 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the West Side YMCA, 601 Cardinal Lane.

In addition to the chance to win free registration and YMCA membership, the registration celebrations also include a variety of family-friendly activities.

The Festival Foods Turkey Trot has raised $4.8 million for charity over the past 17 years. Money raised from this year’s event will benefit YMCAs and Boys and Girls Clubs throughout the state.

“As a longtime Wisconsin-based company, we’re proud to support our local YMCAs and Boys and Girls Clubs. The Festival Foods Turkey Trot is a wonderful celebration of our communities and a fantastic way to start your Thanksgiving Day.
