Local TDS associate named company’s Volunteer of the Quarter
TREASURE VALLEY, Idaho – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) named Pamela Hayn, associate manager of Field Marketing in the Treasure Valley, as its most recent Volunteer of the Quarter.
“We applaud and recognize Pamela’s outstanding service to the Treasure Valley, both in her role with TDS and as a community volunteer. We’re proud to have Pamela and many dedicated associates helping our communities every day,” said Drew Petersen, TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs.
Hayn has assisted numerous nonprofits in the region either on her personal time or in her role with TDS. Last year, she led the West Valley Humane Society’s Furball Gala, which raised $56,000 for the organization, and was elected to the group’s board of directors earlier this year.
Hayn frequently organizes groups of TDS volunteers for events like tree plantings on Earth Day, Clean Up Nampa, and Rake Up Nampa. As a field marketing manager, she has established relationships with many organizations across the region and works to provide resources when they need help.
“Volunteering has become something vitally important to me. It’s so rewarding,” Hayn said. “One of my favorite parts of this job is to get out and give back to the community, and to have resources to do that is incredible.”
Trisha Johnson, TDS coordinator of field marketing in the Treasure Valley, nominated Hayn for the award and has worked alongside her on many efforts. She said Hayn’s passion to help others is evident through her intentionality in seeking out and meeting needs in the community on a regular basis.
“She is selfless in her time and offers her help and expertise to the many nonprofits in our community, allowing them to be successful in their event and fundraising efforts. Her dedication is appreciated by her community and is an inspiration for others to step up and serve,” Johnson said.
Helping the communities where TDS offers services is an important part of the company’s mission. TDS provides associates with 16 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer at a 501(c)(3) organization of their choice through its Be Good Citizens program.
