TDS Telecom makes over $1M in philanthropic donations in 2024

TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is proud to continue prioritizing giving back and helping the communities we serve.

In 2024, TDS made over $1 million in philanthropic donations across the country. From helping small businesses in rural Maine impacted by severe weather, to supporting a toy drive in Bend, Oregon, TDS associates continued working hard to make their communities great places to live and work.

“TDS’ mission is to create a better world by providing high-quality communication services – connecting people and businesses, supporting education, and strengthening communities. We’re pleased to do our part with over $1 million in charitable contributions last year and we look forward to continuing our work for years to come,” TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Drew Petersen said.

Through its TDS Cares initiative, the company especially prioritizes giving to organizations that support people’s basic needs (such as food, clothing, shelter, and medical care); organizations that support Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education; and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) efforts.

The company’s efforts include the annual TDS Open, which last year raised an unprecedented $165,000 for two charities in Wisconsin, where TDS is based. In addition, during the third annual Week of Giving campaign in early December, TDS donated over $100,000 to local charities and organizations.
