TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is excited to announce Jerome, Idaho, as a TDS Fiber-Fast Community, marking the completion of major construction activities on its fiber internet network and certifying Jerome as home to world-class internet. TDS presented officials from the City of Jerome with the Fiber-Fast Community Award during a ceremony at Jerome City Hall on Tuesday afternoon.
Jerome Mayor Chris Barber joined TDS associates and members of the Jerome Chamber of Commerce and the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to mark the advancement in internet connectivity for the community. To celebrate the completion of the project, TDS also presented Martha & Mary’s Food Pantry with a $1,000 donation.
Crews in Jerome installed over 40 miles of fiber cable to make TDS’ high-speed internet available to more than 4,000 homes and businesses. The project’s completion represents a huge benefit for current residents and businesses, and a signal for anyone looking for a community built for the future.
