TDS Honors Late Football Coach with Memorial Balloon Flight
TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is celebrating the life of local football coach Mike Fox by sponsoring a memorial balloon flight in his honor for his wife and three children at this weekend’s Up & Away Hot Air Balloon and Music Festival in Washington Fields.
“TDS and the Hot Air Balloon Festival want to recognize all that Coach Fox did for the Crimson football program, players, and students,” said Wendi Bulkley, TDS associate manager of Marketing. “As a tribute to his life and his lasting legacy in the community, TDS is thrilled to have his wife Melanie and their three children on this memorial flight.”
Festival organizers and TDS welcome the members of the media and the public to join them in a special send-off for the family before the Coach Mike Fox Memorial Flight this Friday at 7:30 a.m. at the Staheli Family Farm. The family will go on a three-hour journey and join 24 other balloons at the festival.
TDS is a title sponsor of the Up & Away Hot Air Balloon and Music Festival held in conjunction with Confetti Pebbles Balloons and the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce. The weekend events also include a car show, live entertainment, and balloon night glows held each night.
