TDS launches full-fiber network in Spokane, Washington
TDS Fiber is live in Spokane, Washington.
TDS Telecom (TDS®) launched its full-fiber network in April in six neighborhoods in Spokane. The network delivers internet speeds up to 1Gig (1,000Mbps), TDS’ all-digital TV service, TDS TV®+, and phone options.
As fiber construction projects are completed, TDS will continue to launch its services in phases over the next several months.
“We’re so excited to begin connecting residents to our symmetrical gigabit internet speeds, along with cutting-edge TV and voice service,” says Julie Maiers, vice president of Marketing and Product Development at TDS. “Fiber optic technology sets the pace for delivering the best internet, TV, and phone services available.”
With speeds up to 1Gig, Maiers says, families can watch the videos they love, go to school, and work all at the same time from home. “With fiber, it’s possible to download a typical two-hour, 4K movie in under a minute. Need to update your operating system? You’ll be ready to install in seconds.”
Best yet, says Maiers, fiber-optic networks are designed for incredible reliability.
Last year, TDS began building a 1,100-mile fiber-to-the-home network in Spokane. The network will ultimately connect more than 88,000 homes and businesses across the community.
Area residents can visit TDSFiber.com to register for service, monitor the progress of the build, and sign up for notifications about the new service. Ready your home for the technologies of tomorrow with TDS Fiber.
