Sponsored by TDS, Downtown Manitowoc to transform into Whoville

MANITOWOC, Wisconsin – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is excited to sponsor a special event transforming Downtown Manitowoc into Whoville this Saturday, Dec. 14.

Inspired by the Dr. Suess fictional town – made famous in “Horton Hears a Who” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” – many downtown businesses are getting into the spirit with themed items, discounts, promotions, decorations, and activities.

The day’s itinerary also includes:

·       9:30 a.m.: Free kids and family yoga at The Granary

·       11 a.m.: Free cookie decorating experience with Hartman’s Bakery at Broken Spoke Bike Shop

·       11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Scavenger hunt at Rahr West Museum

·       1-3 p.m.: Grub with the Grinch at Wrap It Up, featuring free admission and pictures, plus themed food and beverage for purchase.

“Our goal is to help drive support for small businesses in Downtown Manitowoc and encourage residents to shop local,” said Kelsey Lueptow, TDS associate manager of Field Marketing, who helped conceive the event. “And by making it free, we aim to create a fun and festive experience for everyone in the community to enjoy.”
