TDS surprises Coeur d'Alene advocate with Hometown Hero Award
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) surprised a local advocate with a Hometown Hero Award on Thursday afternoon.
TDS Hometown Hero Tess Reasor is a dedicated champion for mental health, recovery, and community support. She serves as mobile crisis responder at Benchmark Human Services, the Region 1 Representative at the Idaho State Behavioral Health Planning Council, and was the founder of 208 Recovery North, which helps those recovering from substance abuse and behavioral health disorders.
On Thursday, TDS officials including President and CEO of TDS Inc., Walter Carlson, recognized Reasor’s efforts with a Hometown Hero Award, which honors individuals making a difference in the community and especially aims to highlight unsung heroes.
“When we put a call out for Hometown Hero Award nominations, we had an overwhelming response – and Tess’ name kept coming up again and again,” said Sandy Hendrix, TDS associate manager of Field Marketing in Coeur d’Alene. “It’s clear that Tess has made a big impact on so many people, and it’s exactly the kind of person we like to honor with the Hometown Hero Award.”
Also as part of the presentation, TDS made a $1,000 donation to 208 Recovery. For more information on the organization, visit 208Recovery.org.
