TDS Telecommunications named Best Internet Provider in North Idaho
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is proud to be voted Best Internet Provider of North Idaho, according to the Business Journal of North Idaho.
The award was part of the Business Journal’s Best of North Idaho competition, which annually recognizes the top local businesses in the region.
“As we continue connecting North Idaho residents to some of the fastest internet speeds in the world, we are proud to be recognized alongside many other outstanding North Idaho businesses,” said Drew Petersen, TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs.
TDS is building a high-speed, fiber internet network in North Idaho communities including Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, and Rathdrum. Many homes and businesses have already been connected, with construction expected to wrap up later this summer.
With the TDS network, residents have access to symmetrical internet download and upload speeds up to 1Gig, plus state-of-the-art TV service, phone options, and advanced solutions for businesses.
Fiber internet is known as the “gold standard of residential internet connections.” According to a Fiber Broadband Association report, only 43 percent of households in the United States have access to fiber, putting residents in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, and Rathdrum in a select group with such access.
TDS’ TV product, TDS TV®+, offers local and national networks, integration with popular streaming services, the ability to start shows over, and cloud DVR. Phone packages and service bundles are available. 10Gig dedicated connections will be available for businesses, as well as TDS’ hosted VoIP communications solution, and TDS TV+.
TDS continues to expand its presence in Idaho, announcing plans earlier this year to bring its all-fiber network to the Magic Valley communities of Twin Falls, Jerome, and Burley. TDS has served Idaho since 1988, previously doing business as Potlatch Telephone Company. The company is also serving or has announced plans to expand into Juliaetta, Troy, Kendrick, Nampa, Garden City, Boise, and Meridian.
