TDS begins work on Beaver Dam fiber network

In total, over 10,000 Beaver Dam homes and businesses are expected to have access to TDS’ network.

BEAVER DAM, Wisconsin – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has begun construction on an all-fiber internet network that will bring lightning-fast speeds to Beaver Dam and give the community another choice for internet, TV, phone, and mobile services.

In total, over 10,000 Beaver Dam homes and businesses are expected to have access to TDS’ network. Work will be done in phases, with customers able to connect once construction in their neighborhood is completed.

“We’re excited to take another step forward in our Beaver Dam project, which will bring the community some of the fastest internet speeds available and help position the region for future growth,” said Drew Petersen, TDS Telecom Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. “As construction moves along, we’re eager to expand access to advanced communications services that help communities like Beaver Dam grow and thrive.”

The TDS network features symmetrical speeds up to 8 Gigabit – fast enough to upload or download a file of any size nearly instantly. TDS TV®+ includes a wide selection of networks and channels, cloud DVR, and integration with streaming apps. TDS also offers 10 Gigabit dedication connections for businesses, landline phone packages, and TDS Mobile, which provides nationwide 5G coverage at affordable prices.

The Beaver Dam project is part of TDS’ larger Central Wisconsin fiber expansion plans, with services also being extended to communities including Ripon, Waupun, Lomira, Horicon, Brownsville, Juneau, Mayville, Burnett, Kekoskee, Minnesota Junction, and Iron Ridge.

Residents will be notified of construction in several ways, including signage and by postcard, letter, and door hanger. Contractors will work to minimize disruptions and restore any areas impacted by the burying of fiber.
