TDS expanding in Spokane County and Spokane Valley
TDS Telecommunications is expanding in Spokane County and Spokane Valley with the network ready to connect 22,000 addresses in Spokane County, including the City of Millwood, and 46,000 addresses in Spokane Valley.
TDS Telecom (TDS®) launched its full-fiber network in Spokane in April in six neighborhoods. As fiber construction projects are completed, TDS will continue to launch its services in phases.
The network delivers internet speeds up to 1Gig (1,000Mbps), TDS’ all-digital TV service, TDS TV®+, and phone options.
“TDS is delighted to bring a new choice with fiber optic speeds for residents in Spokane Valley and Spokane County,” says Julie Maiers, vice president of Marketing and Product Development at TDS. “Along with our gigabit internet speeds, TDS also offers a state-of-the-art TV viewing experience and voice service.”
With speeds up to 1Gig, Maiers says, everyone in your household will receive the bandwidth they need. “With fiber, it’s possible to download a typical two-hour, 4K movie in under a minute. Need to update your operating system? You’ll be ready to install in seconds.”
In addition, Maiers said, TDS’ fiber-optic networks are designed for incredible reliability.
Last year, TDS began building a 1,100-mile fiber-to-the-home network in Spokane. The network will ultimately connect more than 88,000 homes and businesses across the community.
