Socorro, New Mexico residents can now preorder fiber services with TDS

TDS Telecom (TDS®) is announcing it is now taking pre-orders for their fiber services in Socorro. Residents can go to TDSFiber.com/Socorro to sign up and click on the “Register Now” button. At the website under “Neighborhood Status,” customers can also check when services are estimated to be available at their address.

In October 2022, TDS started construction of its high-speed, fiber network in Socorro. The first customers are expected to be connected to the network this summer.

TDS plans to offer 8Gig internet speeds along with a sophisticated digital TDS television product (TDS TV®+) and a variety of phone options. TDS will ultimately provide services to nearly 4,300 new residential and business addresses.

As network construction nears completion, residents will receive pre-launch mailers asking them to register, preorder services, and learn about special offers.

“Our reliable fiber services will soon be available in Socorro, and we have heard from many residents how excited they are for TDS Fiber,” said Drew Petersen, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for TDS.

The upgraded network includes symmetrical speeds, matching download and upload speeds up to 8Gig. Fast downloads are ideal for streaming videos, music, video chat, and gaming.

TDS is working with CEC Facilities Group out of Irving, Texas to construct the network.
