TDS seeks nominations for new grant program to enhance STEM facilities in Lake Norman schools
TDS launches new grant program to assist schools in the Mooresville, N.C. area in STEM education efforts
Mooresville, N.C. (Oct. 1, 2025) — TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is calling for nominations from local schools in the Lake Norman area for its new STEM education grant program, the TDS STEM-Ed Fund. This unique program will award up to $10,000 to enhance school facilities and support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) education.
As a provider of high-speed internet, phone, mobile, and TV solutions for residents and businesses in the Lake Norman area, one of TDS’ core values is investing in the communities it serves. This grant is open to any school or educator in the communities of Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, and Mooresville. “TDS is excited for the opportunity to provide a local school with the resources they need to offer hands-on, engaging STEM education opportunities to students,” said Jill Kerswell, TDS associate manager of Field Marketing. “The grant is designed to be flexible and impactful, allowing funds to be allocated toward a wide range of needs, including new lab equipment, cutting-edge robotics or engineering technology, educational computer programs, or any other enhancements to educational facilities and resources.”
The application form will be open throughout the entire month of October, with a winner or winners expected to be selected by mid-November. TDS looks forward to reviewing the submissions and awarding a school or educator who provides the most impactful, detailed plan on how the grant will benefit its students.
