TDS turns up first customers in Helena Valley, Montana
Today, TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) turned up its first customers to its fiber network in the Helena Valley, Montana area.
TDS field service technicians installed internet service this morning at the home of Tom and Donna Hirst, 5221 Crescent Moon, Helena Valley. TDS also presented the couple with a “Welcome to TDS” gift basket.
"I'm so pleased to now have super-fast TDS fiber internet,” said Tom Hirst. “The price is great, and our home is ready for the future with TDS' reliable speeds." Tom is the owner of Montana Auto Restoration Services and Donna is retired from a billing department in the dental industry.
“What an exciting milestone in Helena. We are delighted today to launch our fiber network for residential and commercial customers," says TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Drew Petersen. “Fiber-optic technology is world class and this is a huge step forward for the Helena area."
TDS, operating as TDS Metrocom, started construction on its fiber network in Helena and Helena Valley earlier this year and will connect homes and businesses with internet speeds of up to 8 Gig, along with providing state-of-the-art digital TV services, and a variety of phone options.

TDS is also building a fiber network in Billings, Butte, Missoula, and Great Falls.
