TDS bringing fiber to more customers in Santa Clara, Utah
TDS Telecom (TDS®) is bringing 2Gig (2000 Mbps) internet, TV, and phone service to nearly 2,500 addresses to Santa Clara. When the project is complete, TDS will blanket nearly the entire community of Santa Clara with its fiber-to-the-home network. Construction is expected to kick off this summer.
“Now more than ever, customers need the fast, reliable connection TDS’ fiber network offers,” says Andrew Petersen, TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. “Our network will provide Santa Clara residents with the tools to enable their homes for the future.”
TDS will deliver symmetrical internet speeds up to 2Gig, TDS’ all-digital TV service, TDS TV®+, and multiple phone options. TDS TV®+ is a cloud-based service and combines live TV—broadcast regional sports content, and national cable channels—with streaming services like Netflix*.
Business customers can choose internet access and transport connections up to 10Gig via dedicated fiber and TDS managedIP, a hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) communications solution. TDS TV® is also available to business customers in the fiber footprint.
With speeds up to 2Gig, it will be possible to download a typical two-hour, 4K movie in under a minute.
Along with our lightning-fast speeds, TDS is passionate about being good community partners. Giving back is an integral part of the culture at TDS. From hands-on volunteering to in-kind and financial support, TDS takes a vested interest in the growth of the communities we serve. TDS associates recently spent several hours picking up trash along the roads near Santa Clara, sponsored the first-ever Special Needs Rodeo at the Washington County Fair, and volunteered during the Ironman World Championship.
