TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is proud to have its President and CEO Jim Butman honored at the 2024 Best of Madison Business awards on February 22.
Hosted by Madison Magazine, the annual luncheon has celebrated Madison’s foremost business leaders for 23 years. This year’s event will be held at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“I am humbled and honored to receive this award on behalf of TDS,” Butman said. “It is truly a privilege to lead this company and the amazing people within it.”
Butman has been at TDS for more than 35 years and has overseen the dramatic growth of the telecommunications company that now has broadband services in 31 states. Butman currently serves on the TDS Inc. Board of Directors, the UScellular Board of Directors, the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, NCTC Board of Directors, and the Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center Board of Directors. Each honoree is selected by a committee comprised of Andrea Behling, editor of Madison Magazine; Zach Brandon, president of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce; Neil Heinen, former editorial director of Madison Magazine; and Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council.
Butman will join a prestigious list of Madison business leaders who have been honored at the Best of Madison Business awards, including former Wisconsin Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Barry Alvarez and Frederic “Ric” Ransom, President of UW Hospitals, Madison region.
“Our mission at TDS is to create a better world, and we do that through products and services that matter,” Butman said. “We pride ourselves in making a difference in our communities and it is nice to see that recognized by the Madison Business awards.”
