TDS Fiber donates $5,000 to Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools
Contribution is lead gift toward Educator Appreciation Campaign
As a huge supporter of investing in student achievement through STEM education and an advocate for educators investing in students, TDS Telecom (TDS®) is pleased to donate $5,000 to the Educator Appreciation Campaign of the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools.
“TDS applauds the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools for intentionally showing appreciation for the incredible work of our teachers,” said TDS’ Daron Olson, associate manager of Field Marketing. “Students cannot prepare for their careers and or receive a rigorous and well-rounded education without the care and dedication of teachers.”
TDS is currently constructing a 500-mile fiber-to-the home network in Billings, which will ultimately connect homes and businesses across the community.
The Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools explores innovative ways to fund and promote academic excellence in Billings, in part by ensuring educators have access to grants and support to ensure their success. Thanks to the Foundation's efforts, thousands of Billings public school teachers deliver a quality education that helps students reach their greatest potential and become productive citizens.
“Our Foundation is honored to receive this generous donation from TDS,” said Kelly McCandless, Executive Director of the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools. “Educators continue to serve through an incredibly difficult climate, and this lead gift from TDS allows us to ensure our teachers feel the support of the Billings community behind them.”
TDS is committed to giving back to the communities it serves. Being a local community partner is central to TDS’ mission and values.
