Vice President of MDU Sales

John K. Cryer Jr. joined TDS Telecom in 2026 as vice president of MDU (multi-dwelling unit) sales. In this role, he leads the company’s national MDU strategy, driving revenue growth, expanding fiber reach, and increasing subscriber penetration across a multistate footprint.

John brings nearly three decades of telecommunications experience leading large-scale sales, business development, and market expansion initiatives. He has a strong track record of driving topline growth, building high-performing teams, and executing complex go-to-market strategies in highly competitive environments. Most recently, he served as division vice president of business development for Comcast’s Central Division, where he led network expansion and multi-family sales across a 15-state region.

Previously, John held senior leadership roles overseeing national sales channels, retail operations, and competitive strategy across major telecommunications providers, including Comcast, Rogers Communications, Cox Communications, and Verizon Wireless/Alltel.

John earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas–Little Rock and completed executive development coursework at Dartmouth. Outside of work, he has been active in community and youth programs, including serving on a school advisory board and coaching youth athletics. He also enjoys fly-fishing and the arts and is passionate about coffee. John and his wife have three children and a fearless Australian Shepherd.
