TDS Telecommunications Corp. divests interest in Wisconsin Sports Network

Minneapolis-based TST Media purchases leading high school sports content publisher

Late Friday Feb. 3, TDS Telecommunications Corp. (TDS) divested its interest in the Wisconsin Sports Network (WSN) to a leading Minneapolis-based Internet sports information provider, TST Media. TDS acquired a majority stake in WSN in the summer of 2007.

“We think this transition is a great strategic move for all parties involved. WSN will now be part of an organization where they can continue to grow and solely focus on developing and aggregating sports content. We’d like to thank all of the WSN employees for their development of WSN and wish them well as they join TST Media,” said James Butman, group president – Marketing, Sales and Customer Operations at TDS.

No transaction terms were disclosed. No job loss is expected.
