West Bend Little League diamond renamed TDS Field
WEST BEND, Wisconsin (June 28, 2023) – The showcase field at the West Bend Little League Complex is now TDS Field, under a new partnership that strengthens both organizations’ commitment to the community.
The naming rights of the field, formerly known as the West Diamond, are part of a two-year sponsorship between West Bend Little League and Wisconsin-based TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®). TDS recently began construction on an all-fiber, high-speed internet network that will serve nearly 14,000 homes and businesses in West Bend.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly-named field was held Wednesday, June 28.
“As someone who grew up playing Little League in Washington County, I am honored to help bring TDS and West Bend Little League together in this partnership – promoting friendships, community, and competition in the same way I got to personally experience in my own youth,” said Daniel Dersé, associate manager of field marketing in West Bend.
Known as one of the top Little League programs in the Midwest, West Bend Little League features boys baseball and girls softball teams for kids ages 4 through 16. Chartered in 1960, it all began with one diamond and has since grown into a five-diamond complex located on Water Street.
“West Bend Little League has been an integral part of the West Bend community for over 60 years, serving over 700 youth each year. Youth baseball and softball teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities. And we couldn’t do that without the generous support of partners like TDS,” said Jim D’Angelo, President of West Bend Little League.
