TDS expanding 1Gig footprint in New Glarus, Wisconsin

Fiber services coming to more than 1,000 area addresses

TDS Telecom (TDS®) is expanding TDS Fiber services in New Glarus. Construction will begin this fall and is expected to deliver 1Gig internet, TV, and phone service to more than 1,000 New Glarus residential and business addresses.

“TDS Fiber offers the reliable experience and fast speeds that are so vital in today’s world,” says Julie Maiers, vice president of Marketing and Product Development at TDS. “Whether residents want to work from home, run a business, attend classes remotely, or simply enjoy a great TV experience, TDS Fiber allows you to stay connected.”

The announcement comes on the heels of wrapping up other network upgrades in the area. In July, TDS launched faster internet speeds to nearly 700 New Glarus addresses. Those upgrades came thanks to the completion a Broadband Expansion Grant project awarded to TDS by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. This latest expansion and improvement project, which will launch early next year, will be entirely funded by TDS.

In addition to 1Gig internet speeds, TDS’ fiber service will expand the availability of its TV product in the area. TDS’ offering includes a variety of advanced features including TV Everywhere, multi-room DVR, as well as local broadcast channels, regional sports content, and national cable networks.

Business customers in the build footprint can choose internet access and transport connections up to 10Gig via dedicated fiber and TDS managedIP, a hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) communications solution. TDS TV® is also available to business customers in the fiber footprint.

New Glarus residents can visit TDSFiber.com to register for bonus offers, order service and see if their address will be included in the fiber build.

TDS has offered communications services in New Glarus since 1968.
