Completed TDS Fiber networks are changing the high-speed internet landscape in Central Wisconsin

Fiber projects deliver up to 1Gig internet in four communities with more to come

TDS Telecom (TDS®) has now completed four fiber network builds in Central Wisconsin. The projects in the communities of Kronenwetter, Rothschild, Schofield, and Weston now connect nearly 14,000 addresses to some of the fastest internet speeds available.

“These projects aren’t about TDS, they’re about every single home and business that now has access to world-class communications services,” says Shane West, senior vice president of Marketing, Sales and Customer Operations at TDS. “Now more than ever, we know TDS customers depend on our speed, service, reliability, and fair prices to learn remotely, work at home, and enjoy entertainment.”

Beyond 1Gig, TDS internet service offerings include symmetrical download and upload package options. TDS’ TV product, TDS TV®+, is also available.

“TDS TV+ delivers truly a next-generation TV experience,” says West. “Beyond local channels, sports, and everyone’s favorite networks, you can schedule a recording from your phone, it offers customized viewing recommendations, and it integrates with popular third-party streaming services, so all of your content is in one place*.”

Businesses within the TDS Fiber footprint can order internet access and transport connections up to 10Gig via dedicated fiber, TDS managedIP (a hosted VoIP communications solution), and TDS TV®.

TDS announced the now-completed projects in 2019 and launched services to the first customers in 2020. With Kronenwetter, Rothschild, Schofield, and Weston completed, TDS is will continue their Stevens Point rollout and anticipates launching service to the first Wausau addresses in the coming months.

Residents can visit TDSFiber.com or call 888-225-5837 to learn more and sign up for service. TDS network expansion also means we’re hiring in your community. Open TDS positions can be found at TDStelecom.com/careers.

*TDS TV+ integration with third party streaming services requires subscription to those services.
