TDS announces plans to build fiber networks in three Green Bay metro area communities
Nearly 19K addresses across Suamico, Howard, and Hobart will gain fiber connections
TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is announcing plans to construct fiber-to-the-home networks in Suamico, Howard, and Hobart, Wisconsin. The projects will deliver a range of residential and businesses services including up to 2Gig internet, TV, and phone. After productive meetings with local leaders, TDS is moving forward with construction this fall and services will become available in phases, eventually connecting about 19K addresses across all three communities.

The Madison, Wisconsin-based company is investing nearly $40 million in the multi-year projects to install nearly 500 miles of fiber residential and business service addresses. TDS’ is partnering with KS Energy, headquartered in New Berlin, Wisconsin, on the build.
Residential addresses can order up to 2 Gigabit (2,000Mbps) internet download and upload speeds, along with TDS TV®+ and phone services. Businesses can receive dedicated connections, TDS TV+, and managed IP—TDS’ hosted VoIP communications solution.
TDS recently announced the launch of their fiber network in Wisconsin’s Fox Cities and is nearing completion on projects in both Wausau and Stevens Point. TDS has been doing business in Wisconsin for 53 years and serves customers in 32 states.
