TDS opens retail location in Stevens Point, Wis.
Storefront offers a space for trying and ordering TDS Fiber products
TDS Telecom (TDS®) is opening the doors on it first retail location in Central Wisconsin. The storefront is designed to give residents the chance to try TDS’ TV product, explore service packages, and register for service in person before TDS Fiber launches next year.
“There is nothing like stopping at a store to see and experience a product in person and get face-to-face help, “ says Erin Danz, TDS’ Director of Marketing. “We want everyone to have an opportunity to take the technology for a test drive and understand why TDS Fiber is such a game changer.”
The Stevens Point store is located at 3296 Church Street and will be officially opened at a ribbon-cutting event with the Portage County Business Ambassador Club on Tuesday, October 8 at 11 a.m.
The grand opening celebration will begin Thursday, October 10 and end Saturday, October 12 with residents able to register to win a 60” LG 4K TV. The grand opening celebration will held be during the storefront’s regular business hours, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In January, the company announced it would be partnering with the city of Stevens Point to build fiber-optic broadband networks in the community. When complete, the networks will deliver up to 1 Gigabit service internet service along with TDS TV, the company’s all-digital TV service, and phone service to area residents. Installations are expected to begin in 2020.
