TDS Names New Manager of State Government Affairs
TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is excited to announce that Angie Dickison, who has led statewide broadband offices in Minnesota and Wisconsin and specialized in securing broadband for underserved rural areas, has joined the company as Manager of State Government Affairs.
Dickison recently stepped down as Executive Director of the Minnesota Office of Broadband Development, a position to which she was appointed by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. With TDS, Dickison will oversee state government affairs in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.
“We’re thrilled Angie is continuing her remarkable career at TDS after many years in the public sector,” said Drew Petersen, TDS Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. “With TDS bringing high-speed fiber internet to communities across the country and increasing access in rural areas, Angie’s expertise is a perfect fit as we work with governments of all levels to accomplish our shared goals.”
Dickison’s extensive experience includes serving as Director of Wisconsin Broadband and Telecommunications Access; a member of the FCC Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and Broadband Deployment Workgroup; and Information Systems Director for Lake County, Minn. In addition, Dickison served on the Planning Commission for Lakewood Township, Minn. for nine years as well as the St. Louis County Board of Adjustment for three years.
Dickison earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and was a Public Policy Fellow at the University of Minnesota’s Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
Dickison’s tenure began Monday, May 16. She is replacing Jean Pauk, who will be retiring from TDS after a decorated 34-year career at the company.
