TDS Telecom presents Most Valuable Educator award to Twin Falls educator

TWIN FALLS, Idaho – As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) surprised a middle school STEM teacher with its Most Valuable Educator award, which honors a person working in local schools making a difference in the lives of students and their community.

TDS presented South Hills Middle School’s Tiffany Patterson with the award and donated $1,000 to the school’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) program.

“Teacher Appreciation Week is a great opportunity to highlight the amazing work educators do in our schools every single day. For years, Tiffany has gone the extra mile to help her students achieve, and we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on her efforts through our Most Valuable Educator award,” said Jessica Kaschmitter, associate manager of Field Marketing.

Patterson was nominated by community member Tamara Harmon, who wrote that Patterson “goes above and beyond to help kids transition through this time in their lives. She understands that each student is an individual and adjusts her teaching to help as many kids as she can.”

TDS is continuing construction on a high-speed, all-fiber internet network in Twin Falls, with service launched in several neighborhoods already. In addition to its services, TDS takes a vested interest in the growth and success of the communities it serves by sponsoring and donating to STEM education programs and other important causes.
