TDS Telecom donates to Jefferson Food Pantry

JEFFERSON, Wisconsin – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has made a donation to help replace the Jefferson Food Pantry freezer.

The donation of $1,250 comes during a week-long celebration of the company’s core values, which includes investing in people and communities.

“Helping the communities we serve is an essential part of TDS’ mission. Since beginning construction in Jefferson, we’ve been proud to support several local organizations and events that make our communities a better place. The Jefferson Food Pantry does incredibly important work for our region, and we are happy to do our part to help them fulfill its mission,” said Anna Jensen, TDS associate manager of Field Marketing in Watertown, Fort Atkinson, Jefferson and Whitewater.

"The Jefferson Food Pantry is immensely grateful for TDS’ generous donation. This contribution represents so much more than just a monetary figure; it symbolizes a lifeline of hope and sustenance for individuals and families facing food insecurity. With this support, we can expand our efforts to ensure that our neighbors have access to fresh, healthy, and local food. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to TDS for demonstrating its unwavering commitment to fighting hunger and building a stronger, more compassionate community. Together, we can create a future where everyone in Jefferson has access to the nourishment they deserve," said Sara Ariss, Jefferson Food Pantry Director.

TDS presented the donation on Thursday, June 8. Associates also volunteered and shared information on the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). Qualified ACP customers can receive symmetrical speeds up to 200Mbps at no cost with the company’s TDS Connect product.

TDS is building an all-fiber internet network in Jefferson County communities including Jefferson, Fort Atkinson, Watertown, and Whitewater. When completed, the network will deliver internet speeds of up to 8Gig – fast enough to upload and download files of any size nearly instantaneously. The TDS project will also bring a new TV provider to the area as well as phone options.
