TDS to join Nampa Earth Day tree planting

NAMPA, Idaho – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) associates will join the Nampa community in planting trees at Orah Brandt Park in recognition of Earth Day.

The tree planting will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at the park located at 7999 Cherry Lane. Media members are invited to attend.

TDS will have a team of seven associates at Orah Brandt Park. In that neighborhood, TDS is nearly finished with construction of its high-speed, all-fiber internet network.

“Helping make Nampa a better place is an important part of our mission, and we’re excited to do our part this Earth Day,” said Pamela Hayn, associate manager of field marketing in Nampa. “We encourage others to do what they can to help our environment and preserve our planet for generations to come.”

TDS prioritizes helping the communities it serves. The company provides associates with 16 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer at a 501(c)(3) organization of their choice through its Be Good Citizens program.

In addition, the company’s Green Associate Resource Group is a team of associates dedicated to environmentally-responsible behavior at work and at home to have a positive impact on the communities we serve.

TDS is building an all-fiber internet network in Nampa with speeds up to 8Gig. The company connected its first customers in Nampa last year; the network is expected to eventually reach tens of thousands of addresses.
