TDS Telecom Names New VP of Finance and CFO

MADISON, Wis. — TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®/TDS Telecom) is pleased to announce the promotion of Kristina Bothfeld to vice president of Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective December 3, 2024. A veteran of the TDS Family of Companies, Bothfeld most recently played an instrumental role in the planning and execution of the large-scale fiber expansion plans at TDS Telecom as the vice president of Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning.

In her new role, Bothfeld will oversee TDS Telecom’s financial operations, which include strategic and long-range planning, financial analysis, internal controls, risk management, billing, revenue assurance, and logistics.

“Kris has an unmatched depth of knowledge of our business and her strategic financial vision has been critical to our company’s success,” said President and CEO Jim Butman. “I’m confident TDS Telecom will benefit greatly from her expanded leadership role.”

Bothfeld joined TDS Telecom’s parent company, Telephone and Data Systems, Inc., as a financial analyst in 2009. She later moved to TDS Telecom’s sister company, UScellular, where she held various financial analysis and strategy positions. In 2019, Kris joined TDS Telecom as the director of Strategic Planning and Financial Analysis, leading the company’s long-range strategic planning.

Bothfeld holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her MBA from Northwestern University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Departing CFO Michelle Brukwicki is leaving TDS Telecom for an opportunity outside the enterprise.
