TDS named Best of North Idaho 2023
Company honored as best local internet provider for second straight year
TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has been named Best Internet Provider in the Business Journal of North Idaho’s annual competition, marking the second consecutive year TDS has taken home the award.
“It’s truly an honor to be recognized as our region’s best local internet provider. We’re proud that we’ve built an infrastructure to support North Idaho residents and businesses and given back to many local nonprofits that make our region a great place to live. I’m overjoyed to experience the impact that TDS has created in this beautiful area I call home,” said Sandy Raudebaugh, associate manager of field marketing in Coeur d’Alene.
TDS began construction in 2019 on a high-speed, all-fiber internet network connecting homes and businesses in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, and Rathdrum. Last year, TDS increased speeds to up to 8Gig in much of the region. This robust connection means subscribers can download and upload files – regardless of size – nearly instantaneously, making it well suited for commercial customers as well as households with large, shared internet needs.
TDS’ TV product, TDS TV®+, offers local and national networks, integration with popular streaming services, the ability to start shows over, and cloud DVR. Phone packages and service bundles are also available.
Beyond the standard service options, TDS also offers a low-cost service for qualifying customers called TDS Connect that includes up to 200/200Mbps internet speeds. The monthly cost of TDS Connect is fully covered by the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) benefit.
In addition to its services, helping the communities it serves is a core part of TDS’ mission. TDS has been active in supporting a number of great North Idaho organizations and local events. For example, in its Week of Giving campaign last year, TDS made donations to a local homeless shelter, Boys & Girls Club, violence prevention center, and police and fire departments, while also holding a food drive benefitting Newby Ginnings.
“Besides the beauty of the lakes and mountains and all the enjoyable outdoor activities, it’s really the people that make North Idaho home. We’re honored to be part of this community and look forward to serving this region for years to come,” Raudebaugh said.
